»An ode to Michael Jackson [August 29, 1958 - June 25, 2009]«
(by Ryan Gordon Penn)
The World lost its eldest Child today
In a white sheet he was wrapped and driven away
He was the King of Pop, adored, loved and self-styled
He showed us that it's OK to let out the inner child
"You were the outcast, the dreamer and underdog
Who overcame it all to be the King of Pop
We will all miss your entertainment and Joy
You will always be known as the Talented Singing boy"
Michael, you were caught in a world that never appreciated your uniqueness.
Instead all your actions of Love and Care were made to look like a weakness.
Your misgivings were highlighted while your free giving was played down
They made you into a joke Michael, Portrayed as a clown
"You were the outcast, the dreamer and underdog
Who overcame it all to be the King of Pop
We will all miss your entertainment and Joy
You will always be known as the Talented Singing boy"
But the ones you call fans can see through the illusion
We knew you for who you were, We can draw our own conclusions
We loved your music, through which we got to know you
Life was tough, Your words helped us through.
"You were the outcast, the dreamer and underdog
Who overcame it all to be the King of Pop
We will all miss your entertainment and Joy
You will always be known as the Talented Singing boy"
So farewell dear child, dear friend, Your star will always shine
We will remember this day you were taken from us, 25 June 2009
You achieved your purpose here and inspired the ones still trying
So take these tears that we are now crying
and make a river of Love in heaven to guide the way
To the Legend that is, that was, Michael J!!
Heal The World
